Meet Jo

 

Are you sick of joining a program, going hard & feeling great, but then something comes up (life happens) and somehow you keep getting stuck on this start-stop cycle? It could be a weight loss program, a fitness program, or even just joining a gym. It's always exciting at first, the promise of a newer, happier you. But what really interferes? 

 

Hey, I'm Jolyn Martin, certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and Intuitive Eating coach (and mom of 2). I am passionate about helping moms just like you find peace with food, exercise and our changing bodies. I take a non-diet, Health at Every Size approach to guide my clients on a journey of self-love and body respect. I help my clients get off the start-stop cycle of fitness programs and weight-loss goals, while finding movement they enjoy & feel empowered doing.

Are you looking for a weight-inclusive, supportive community that focuses on more than what your body looks like in a bathing suit?

Coach Jo & the Crew is a community of women who love to move their bodies because it makes them FEEL good & strong! 

 

Fitness is about empowerment & being the expert of your own body. 

 

What's different about my classes than any other online workout class?

There is a huge emphasis on listening to your body, taking rests when needed, and choosing the variation that suits you best for that moment. My classes are weight-inclusive & diet-culture free (this means you are safe to explore movement without the language of 'burn fat', 'lose weight', 'push yourself', etc).

This image is from MUDGIRLRUN 2021 where twelve Coach Jo & the Crew members met in London, ON for a 5 km race in the mud. Many of the members were meeting in person for the first time though we all felt like we knew each other well because of our connect time after each workout.
